Former Rev1 Ventures Director of Community Outreach is candidate of choice

COLUMBUS – Experience Columbus has named its new vice president of strategic development, Charles Hill II. In his new role, Hill will oversee all aspects of the development, membership and events departments for Experience Columbus.

Hill joins Experience Columbus after serving as the director of community outreach for Rev1 Ventures where he developed new and existing partnerships, engaged entrepreneurs and led diversity and inclusion initiatives. Prior to his position with Rev1 Ventures, Hill was a senior relationship manager with United Way of Central Ohio and responsible for fostering relationships with donors and volunteers to meet fundraising targets.

“Columbus has so much potential, and I am excited for the opportunity to play a part in moving the city forward as an emerging destination,” said Hill. “As vice president of strategic development, I am eager to continue the ‘Columbus Way’ by collaborating to strengthen and build our public-private partnerships.”

In addition to his professional career, Hill is actively engaged in the community serving as a mentor for City Year’s Affinity Group, the New American Advisory Council and United Way’s Resource Development Committee and volunteers at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank and as a voting day poll worker. He is a Certified Tourism Ambassador and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., African American Leadership Academy and Columbus Black Professionals. He has been recognized by Columbus Young Professionals City Pulse as one of their “People to Know” and the Central District Football Coaches Association as a Division VII Assistant Coach of the Year.

Hill is a graduate of Kentucky State University and resides in Pickerington with his family. He will assume the new position on April 4.
